California Retina Consultants (CRC) is seeking a responsible individual who will be primarily responsible greeting patients, checking them in and out, and answering phones. Day to day activities may include all or some of the responsibilities listed below, depending upon individual experience/knowledge and the needs of the organization which are subject to change from time to time.

Candidate must be able to work varying shifts during the week to meet patient needs. This position will travel to our Simi Valley and Oxnard offices.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  • May also perform temperature screening duties in compliance with HIPAA privacy.
  • Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
  • Comforts patients by anticipating anxieties and answering questions
  • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
  • Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
  • Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Some front office experience preferred
  • Must speak Spanish

COVID-19 considerations: All patients and staff are required to wear a mask on the premises and are instructed to socially distance. Workers are required to be vaccinated unless applying for an exemption.
